I came back less than two months ago, and started to get a move of things.
We're working on a web version of PO, as you can see if you click the Play! link at the top. There's still a lot of work to do, but it's already usable.
And we've finally introduced a long awaited feature of PO, replays!
That's an example replay. It's still in testing, and we'll introduce pause button etc, but you should already get them if you finish a battle on the main PO server.
We'll definitely make another news item once things progress further for the webclient.
This version has a bunch of small fixes and features added that have been reported/suggested on the forums.
New battle backgrounds have been added for the old battle window, alongside tooltip fixes and other helpful additions to the old battle window. Another addition to the battle window is a warning when you click the X before actually closing (Make sure Show Exit Warning is turned on first though), plus the ability to set your battle window to always be the top window.
The exit warning has also been added to the main client itself, clicking the X, pressing Alt+F4, or Ctrl+W on the last tab, now brings up a warning asking if you're sure you want to exit (Again Show Exit Warning needs to be on, it is by default, but check anyway).
When registering, you now have a password confirmation, to make sure you type...
2.6.0 brings a big addition to PO in the form of Hackmons. Hackmons is a tier created by (I think) Smogon, which allows a Pokémon to use any move, any ability, and more than 510 total EVs (e.g. 252 in every stat). They'll be a thread that explains Hackmons properly soonhttp://pokemon-online.eu/threads/hackmons-tier.30756/ . Obviously it's going to a play a lot differently to standard tiers, so it'll be interesting to see how it ends up.
In other things, Alice/Cirno has added all the trainer sprites from Gen 1-3, giving a total of 719 trainer sprites from all generations. Also the ability to add any number of...
This release brings more changes to the client compared to the previous release.
First up is the backporting of the PP count and Stat Estimates from the New Battle Window to the Old Battle Window, so now when you hover over a pokemon, you get more details from the tooltip.
New Trainer Sprites (Well icons) have been added. Images of the trainers from XY and ORAS have been added for users to use in their trainer profiles.
The ability to export/import to/from android has been added to the teambuilder.
And a bunch of other things too
Anything that is listed as "Fixed" or "Next Update" (at the time of writing) here is included in this update...
As of yesterday, it is back on the Store!
For now, there have been no complications with Google, and if there are, updates will be made in regards to such.
In the meantime, let's enjoy it!
The Apps name is currently PO Android. While you can search for its name within the Store, it is not that much of a relevant app - meaning that it will be low on the list of search items.
The simplest way to make the app become higher within the search queue is to Download and Review the app, preferably 5 Stars of course, so that means Review it and it will be easier to find and we'll become more popular!
Here's the direct link towards the app - the name is PO Android to remove copyright issues

Most of the changes in this version have been server side fixes, so not a lot of changes client side.
Though missing moves have been added and so has Mega Rayquaza! To use Mega Rayquaza, it needs to have the move Dragon Ascent. There is no megastone for it. You won't be able to use it instantly on the server, but hopefully it should be up by tomorrow at the latest.
Back sprites for the new megas/primals have been added too alongside icons for them and items.
Note flashes don't work in this version... it's not my fault, new battle window doesn't work for some people with it. I'll get a working client up with it working as soon as I can....
This version's biggest change is probably the addition of the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire subgen! Whilst the games aren't out yet, we had enough information to do 95% of the new changes. What little is left can be fixed at release.
All new megas have been added with full stats/items/types/etc etc
New "sprites" from ORAS are now in use instead of the (imo ugly) ones from X/Y. Although no backsprites for the new megas yet.
Primal Reversion and the new weathers have been added. Note that these are not 100% tested and can change come actual ORAS release. We had to work with little data for these so they aren't fully correct....
From Fuzzy's post on Github:
-Gen 6 mechanics were adjusted on many moves and ability. Well over 100 bugs met their end here.
-Gen 1 might be old, but Withoutatrace didn't forget it! A number of bugs that affected mechanics have been eradicated.
-Challenge Cup level balancing was adjusted to change between generations, instead of always assuming latest gen. This will affect Gen 1 the most as the formula was different in accounting for the Special Stat.
-Speaking of Challenge Cup, Arceus, Giratina, and Genesect will now properly display according to their items.
-Gen 6 Sprites are now in use. They are simply a frame-grab from the animated model. As a result of...
This thread will show you how it's done; http://pokemon-online.eu/threads/how-to-get-the-newest-version.28679/
So first things first, Xenforo is a forum software created by 2 people, Mike and Kier who were some of the main developers for the vBulletin software. However when the company Internet Brands bought the company Jelsoft (The original owners of vBulletin), they put things into practice the workers didn't like. So, they moved on and created this (arguably) better forum software. It's got lots of awesome features that aren't available in vBulletin, some of which I'll be going over here.
As for the first feature I'll go over the Resources section, since it's what I'm personally most excited about as a designer. It's completely fresh, so...
